The STAR TAP Module is a module with fiber optic splitters, used to divide each optical signal into two outputs. One output is used for live traffic, and the other output is used for monitoring.

The module enables the monitoring equipment to connect to the existing, high-density network infrastructure, saving valuable space, and providing flexibility to connect the monitoring equipment on demand, without interfering with the live network traffic. The modules are available in the following pre-terminated configurations:

MTP® to 12 LC with rear TAP connection.

MTP® to MTP® with rear TAP connection.

MTP® to MTP® with front TAP connection.
